BLF, BLX bogie boxvans

A general service box van that saw use all over the state and in interstate service, the BLX's were built to the same pattern as the VLX class except that the BLX had solid sides whereas the VLX had louvred sides. They were built as BB class at Newport from 1960 until 1962 and were numbered 23 - 151. They went through several class changes (BB - BF - BLF and finally BLX).  In the late 60s the group 121 - 144 were again coded to BLF for intrastaste paletised cement traffic. The number group started at 23 as the remaining TT's, in 1960, were re-numbered 1 - 22.
